repairs. Unlike many competitors who used as few as seven strands,
BlackJack's permanent repairs are manufactured with twelve strands of
high-tensile Kevlar fiber, the same materials used in bullet-proof vests.
Each strand of fiber is individually impregnated with a live butyl rubber
compound. This compound is laboratory-developed using carbon black, giving
the repair its black color and making it virtually impossible to see. Other
hard-cured repairs force the injury to conform to the shape of the plug, but
BlackJack's repair sets itself apart by conforming to the size and shape of
the injury. These repairs seal out dirt and moisture, eliminate any stress
to the belts, and preserve the whole tire body. |

Tire pressure monitoring sensors typically are held to the wheel with a
mounting ferrule nut that is threaded to the outside of a specially designed
valve stem, and are susceptible to damage or breakage during tire mounting
or demounting. Without the TPMS Sentry™, the sensor is released and dropped
into the tire cavity and damage can be caused by inadvertent contact with
the tire changing equipment, by the bead of the tire when it is broken free
of the wheel, or when the bead is forced over the rim of the wheel.
